Accessibility statement

Standard applied

This site is built to conform with the Revised Section 508 Standards (36 CFR §1194.1, Appendices A, C and D), which incorporate the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We build and test against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which exceeds the version the regulation requires.

What is in place

• Semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading order on every page
• Skip-to-content link as the first focusable element
• Visible focus indicator on all interactive elements, at 3:1 contrast against adjacent colours
• Body text at 4.5:1 contrast or better; large text and interface components at 3:1 or better
• Full keyboard operability — no mouse-only interactions
• Text resizes to 200% without loss of content or function
• Reduced-motion preference respected
• Tables with proper header associations; form controls with persistent labels
• Content reflows to a single column at narrow widths without horizontal scrolling
• An accessible print layout for the ordering guide

We would rather state this plainly than imply conformance we have not yet tested.

• Formal audit against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, including manual screen-reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver
• Tagged-PDF validation of the ordering guide using PAC 2024
• Publication of an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template

Accessible formats

The ordering guide is available as an accessible web page as well as a PDF, and both carry identical content. If you need any material on this site in a different format — large print, plain text, or another accessible format — contact the program office and we will supply it.
